Here are five ways you can improve how you eat and lose weight. The first way is, to begin with, a nutritious breakfast. It's going to help you recharge your body. One healthy energy-boosting breakfast you should try is Quaker Oats with 2% milk (lower fat) and banana slices. This is a power-energy breakfast that's going to help you get a good mood and energy boost. If you don't like the oatmeal, drink the yoghurt with the seeds of Chia. If you have your own power breakfast ideas that can help you lose weight, please share them in the comments below.

The second approach is to stop having to feed late at night. Don't eat your dinner at 9 p.m. Try to eat as much as possible before 8.00 p.m. The problem with eating when you're exhausted and sluggish is that your overall metabolism may be so slow that your food may not be properly digested. If you have to eat late at night, opt for a snack with notes of almonds and cashew. Almonds provide a lot of fibre, and a lot really makes you feel full quickly and improve your bowel habits.

Although it's important to have breakfast as a meal, don't forget to eat lunch or snack while you're in the office. When you eat on a regular basis, you increase the chances of keeping the metabolism up and going. This is going to help you not overeat. You can have a bunch of blueberries, strawberries and apples. You may also snack on vegetables, fruit, nuts and whole grains that are healthier than refined foods high in sugar and fat and low in nutritional value. Foods high in sugar and sodium, such as bread, are bad for your health, particularly if you are diabetic or hypertensive.

The fourth way to change the way you eat and lose weight is to eat more fibre. Fibre is the perfect way to keep you feeling happy by eating less. This ingredient is why a plate of steamed broccoli sprinkled with a little garlic or vinegar makes you feel happier than a cookie containing more calories. It's also the reason why a handful of almonds can make you feel more complete than 5 slices of soda bread or 2 slices of pizza.

The fifth approach is to reduce the amount of food you consume. You can start by cutting your daily serving of food by half and increasing the amount of colourful fruit and vegetables you add to your meal. Add chia seeds to your meals on a regular basis, which will help you increase the fibre and nutrients in your meal without increasing your food portion. Make sure to drink water and green tea instead of ice cream and cookies at the end of your meal. Drinks without any calories give you a snacking experience that doesn't mess with your diet. If you drink water at any time and enjoy a cup of green tea at least once a day, it will make you feel fuller and it may also improve your immune system.
